Smell the Flowers (61 x 46 cm)

A deep pink flower rests quietly on the rail. Surrounded by fallen petals represented by dots, it could symbolise moments, or days in a beautiful life.

This acrylic painting has strong line, and well-portrayed natural colours that are found in gardens around us. Simple, deliberate brush strokes give texture to the rose-coloured petals. Tinted pink colours and white are used to emphasize light.

This was a ‘pink’ moment in the artist’s life when a simple, pretty flower meant so much to him.
