Phil Whatmore’s lifetime of creative works was celebrated in an exhibition showcasing 150 of his paintings on Friday, May 20th 2016, at the Lockyer Valley Art Gallery, Lockyer Valley Cultural Centre, 34 Lake Apex Drive, Gatton and ran until Saturday June 25th.
Phil Whatmore was an exceptional artist and skydiver who passed away in 2012. His art and paintings, inspired by the beauty of the world, continue to inspire many today. To honour his memory, an exhibition was held on Friday, May 20th 2016, at the Lockyer Valley Art Gallery, Lockyer Valley Cultural Centre, 34 Lake Apex Drive, Gatton and ran until Saturday June 25th. This exhibition featured some of his most inspiring works of art.
This exhibition was truly a humbling experience for all who attended. Many were moved to tears from the beauty of his works, and the remembrance of such a saintly figure. Lots of people attended the exhibition, and it was a reminder of the impact Phil had on the world.
